Is Oxalis toxic to pets?
Oxalis plants contain soluble calcium oxalates, which are toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. When ingested, these crystals cause irritation in the mouth, excessive drooling, difficulty swallowing, vomiting, and decreased appetite. In severe cases involving large quantities, kidney damage can occur, making it important to keep these plants well out of reach of household pets.
