Is Coral Cactus toxic to pets?
The Coral Cactus contains a milky white latex sap that is extremely toxic to pets including cats, dogs, and horses. Ingestion causes intense irritation to the mouth, tongue, and stomach, frequently leading to excessive drooling, vomiting, and diarrhea. If the sap comes into direct contact with a pet's skin or eyes, it can cause severe inflammation, pain, and temporary or permanent corneal damage. Immediate veterinary attention is strongly recommended if exposure occurs.
