Is Clementine toxic to pets?
Clementine trees contain essential oils such as limonene and linalool, as well as psoralens, which are toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. Ingestion of the plant leaves, bark, or fruit peel can cause gastrointestinal irritation, vomiting, diarrhea, and depression in pets. While the inner fruit flesh is generally less toxic, the entire plant should be kept safely out of reach of household animals to prevent any adverse health complications.
