Is Ginkgo Tree toxic to pets?
Ginkgo trees are toxic to pets, particularly dogs and cats. The leaves, seeds, and fleshy outer pulp of the fruit contain neurotoxins and 4-methoxypyridoxine, which can cause severe vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, and respiratory distress if ingested. Immediate veterinary attention is required if a pet consumes any part of the Ginkgo tree.
