Watering
Never let the soil dry out. Use the tray method by placing the pot in a dish filled with a few centimeters of distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Avoid tap water with high mineral content.

Provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. South or west-facing windows are ideal indoors, though outdoor full sun is best.
Soil and Fertilizer
Use a nutrient-poor soil mix consisting of 50% sphagnum peat moss and 50% peritine or silica sand. Never fertilize the soil, as nutrients will burn and kill the plant.
