Kalanchoe
Kalanchoe is a prominent genus of about 125 species of tropical, succulent flowering plants in the family Crassulaceae, mostly native to the Old World, with a few species originating from the Americas. They are exceptionally popular as indoor houseplants and outdoor garden succulents due to their vibrant, long-lasting flower clusters and thick, fleshy, dark green leaves that store water efficiently. Kalanchoes are well-adapted to dry conditions, requiring minimal watering and thriving in bright, indirect sunlight. Their ability to produce vivid blooms in shades of red, pink, yellow, orange, and white during the shorter days of winter makes them a favorite decorative staple across households worldwide, bringing cheer and enduring color to indoor spaces.
