Velvet Leaf Anthurium

Velvet Leaf Anthurium

Anthurium clarinervium is a breathtaking tropical epiphyte native to the rainforests of southern Mexico. Celebrated primarily for its striking, heart-shaped dark green velvety leaves adorned with prominent, contrasting white or pale green veins, it is a prized specimen for indoor plant enthusiasts. As a member of the Araceae family, it thrives in warm, humid environments with dappled sunlight. Due to its epiphytic nature, it requires an extremely well-aerated, chunky soil mix that mimics its natural tree-dwelling habitat, allowing its thick roots to breathe and prevent root rot while maintaining adequate moisture levels throughout the growing season.
