Lantana
Lantana is a popular and vibrant flowering perennial shrub belonging to the verbena family, Verbenaceae, native to the American tropics. Recognized for its clusters of brightly colored flowers that frequently change color as they mature, lantana produces blooms in shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, and white. This plant is exceptionally resilient, highly drought-tolerant, and thrives in intense heat and full sun, making it a favorite choice for ornamental gardens, butterfly attractants, and xeriscaping. However, it can become invasive in certain tropical and subtropical regions, and its foliage and unripe berries contain toxic triterpenoids.
