Wax Plant
The wax plant, scientifically known as Hoya carnosa, is a popular tropical epiphyte native to Eastern Asia and Australia. Renowned for its thick, succulent-like waxy leaves and clusters of star-shaped, porcelain-like flowers that often emit a sweet fragrance, this climbing or trailing vine is a favorite among indoor gardeners. It is remarkably resilient, tolerating periods of neglect and low light, although it thrives best in bright, indirect sunlight. Its ability to store water in its leaves makes it drought-tolerant, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or climbing up trellises inside homes and offices.
