Hoya

Hoya is a large genus of tropical and subtropical evergreen climbing plants or vines in the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. Native primarily to Asia, Polynesia, and Australia, they are widely cultivated as popular houseplants due to their attractive, thick waxy foliage and clusters of star-shaped, porcelain-like flowers that often emit a sweet fragrance. Hoyas are well-regarded for their durability, ability to thrive in standard indoor living conditions, and their drought tolerance stemming from their semi-succulent nature.
