Cosmos

Cosmos is a popular genus of flowering plants belonging to the aster family, Asteraceae. Native primarily to scrub and meadow areas in Mexico, as well as Central and South America, these hardy annual and perennial plants are widely celebrated for their brightly colored, daisy-like flowers and fine, feathery foliage. They are exceptionally easy to grow from seed, making them a favorite choice for beginner gardeners, pollinator-friendly landscapes, and expansive cottage gardens. Cosmos thrive in warm climates and poor soils, rewarding minimal care with an abundant and continuous bloom throughout the summer and autumn months, attracting a variety of beneficial insects including butterflies and bees.
