Inch Plant

The Inch Plant, scientifically known as Tradescantia zebrina, is a popular, fast-growing evergreen perennial native to the tropical forests of Mexico and Central America. Famous for its striking foliage featuring shimmering purple undersides and striped green and silver upper leaf surfaces, it is widely cultivated as an ornamental houseplant worldwide. This trailing plant thrives in hanging baskets or as a ground cover in warmer frost-free climates. It is exceptionally easy to propagate through stem cuttings, making it a favorite among both novice and experienced gardeners who want to quickly add a vibrant splash of color to their indoor spaces or shaded garden landscapes.
