Australian Finger Lime
The Australian Finger Lime is a unique understory rainforest tree native to the coastal regions of eastern Australia. It is widely celebrated for its cylindrical fruits containing juice vesicles that resemble citrus caviar, which pop in the mouth to release a tart, lime-like flavor. The plant features small leaves, thorny branches, and produces small white or pale pink flowers. In recent years, it has gained immense popularity among chefs and gardeners worldwide for its culinary versatility, unique aesthetics, and ability to thrive in pots or garden beds when provided with adequate care, well-draining soil, and protection from extreme frosts.
