Wisteria
Wisteria is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae, that includes ten species of woody climbing vines native to the Eastern United States, China, Korea, and Japan. Famous for their cascading clusters of purple, blue, pink, or white flowers, they are exceptionally popular ornamental plants in temperate regions. These vigorous vines can climb to impressive heights by twining their stems counterclockwise or clockwise around any available support. Due to their immense strength, they require robust arbors, pergolas, or walls, along with regular pruning twice a year to encourage heavy flowering and to keep their aggressive growth safely under control.
