Asian Ginseng
Asian Ginseng, scientifically known as Panax ginseng, is a highly valued perennial herb native to the mountain forests of East Asia, particularly Korea, northeastern China, and eastern Siberia. Renowned for centuries in traditional herbal medicine, it is famous for its slow-growing roots, which often take several years to mature and develop their characteristic human-like shapes. The plant typically features palmate compound leaves and produces small clusters of red berries. It is primarily cultivated for its adaptogenic properties, which are believed to help the body cope with physical and mental stress, boost immunity, and enhance overall vitality and cognitive performance. Due to overharvesting in the wild, authentic wild Asian ginseng is rare, leading to extensive commercial cultivation.
