Tea Tree

Leptospermum is a diverse genus of shrubs and small trees belonging to the Myrtaceae family, predominantly native to Australia and New Zealand. Renowned for their abundance of small, colourful flowers in shades of white, pink, and red, these resilient plants are extremely popular in ornamental landscaping and native gardens. Many species produce aromatic foliage and nectar-rich blossoms that attract local pollinators such as bees and birds. One of the most famous species, Leptospermum scoparium, produces the renowned Manuka honey with unique antibacterial properties. They adapt well to coastal conditions and make exceptional hedging plants.
