Elephant Ear

Colocasia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae, commonly known as elephant ear for their large, striking foliage that resembles pachyderm ears. Native to tropical Asia and the Indian subcontinent, these plants thrive in wet, humid environments and are frequently cultivated both as ornamental garden features and for their edible starchy corms known as taro. They add a dramatic, tropical aesthetic to landscapes, patios, and indoor spaces alike, provided they receive adequate moisture and warmth throughout their active growing season.
