Agapanthus
Agapanthus, commonly known as the Lily of the Nile or African Lily, is a striking perennial plant native to South Africa. It is widely celebrated for its magnificent, rounded clusters of funnel-shaped flowers that bloom in shades of vibrant blue, purple, or white during the warm summer months. Rising above clumps of strap-shaped, leathery green leaves, these architectural flower stalks make a dramatic statement in gardens, borders, and large containers. Agapanthus plants are remarkably resilient, drought-tolerant once established, and thrive best in warm, sunny climates with well-draining soil. They are exceptionally popular in landscaping for their bold texture, low maintenance requirements, and ability to attract various pollinators to the garden.
